Welcome to the new site!

Welcome to our inaugural blog!  We are delighted to add an interactive section to our website.  If you have any questions regarding Manitoba E911 please let us know.  We will respond to questions or comments, and occasionally post them on this site.  For our first blog, here is some more detailed information about the Center:

The Provincial 911 Centre is located in the Brandon Fire & Emergency Services building, and is operated by the City of Brandon.  We service a population of 463, 031.  This includes Rural Municipalities, 189 Fire Departments, First Nation Reserves, 6 Provincial Parks, OFC, EMO, and the Riding Mountain National Park.

2011 A BUSY YEAR FOR FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES AND E-911

Emergency situations requiring ambulance response and motor vehicle collisions kept Brandon Fire & Emergency Services personnel busy in 2011.

Data collected and analyzed by Brandon Fire & Emergency Services show a total of 4,735 calls were responded to by its personnel in 2011, up 5 % in volume from 2010. Of 2011’s total calls, 72.1 % were ambulance-related and 10.2 % were motor vehicle collision-related.

Together, those two types of occurrences attributed for 82.3 % of all calls responded to in 2011.
